Earth Hour
On Saturday, March 28 at 8:30 pm, in each time zone, millions of people in thousands of cities all over the world, are expected to turn off the lights for one hour. The purpose is to raise people's consciousness about the link between global warning and energy use.

{Video after the jump}

If you switch your lights off - you vote for Earth. If you leave them on - you vote for global warming.

The target is to reach 1 billion votes which will be presented to the Global Climate Change Conference in Copenhagen in 2009. This is a grass roots way for people to make their voices heard and encourage  governmental policies to take action against global warming.

Earth Hour originated in Sydney in 2007.
